Lamisil (terbinafine) is an antifungal medication that fights fungus-caused infection. It treats infections caused by fungus affecting fingernails, toenails and even scalp hair of children ages 4 and above.
Lamisil is an effective treatment for athlete’s foot. It provides healthy foot care with its fungus-fighting properties. Terbinafine hydrochloride treats fungal or yeast infections causing athlete’s foot. It kills the fungus, liketinea cruris(jock itch), ringwormandcandida albicans(athlete’s foot) to prevent it from reproducing and ultimately, stop infection. Terbinafine is available in cream, powder or tablet forms. If used as a cream, it may be applied topically to treat infections located on the superficial skin. The best part about Terbinafine cream is it takes effect in just half the time needed by other antifungal creams.
Lamisil can be applied topically, preferably directly on the skin. For adults, typical Lamisil dosage is 2% gel, 3% spray or 1% ointment. Lamisil may be used for other uses, like treating menstrual cramps, fungal infections topical, in athletes’ foot or acne. Apply as a cream, powder or tablet. For topical antifungal treatments, the cream or ointment should be used at leastparency and don’t exceed two application hours.
